Our first stop is the Samburu National Reserve, where we’ll spend the night in the luxurious Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp. Samburu is famous for its diverse fauna, which includes not just big cats, but also the Northern Five mammal and bird species that are unique to this ecosystem. These animals include the Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Grevy Zebra, and Reticulated Giraffe.

After an early bush breakfast, we will go to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. This sanctuary was founded in conjunction with locals in an effort to improve and protect wildlife, notably elephants, from poaching. You will be able to feed and interact with the many baby elephants who call this place home. After lunch, have some time to unwind before embarking on a two-hour evening wildlife tour.

Lake Turkana, the world’s largest desert and alkaline lake, is home to the largest population of Nile crocodiles. Loiyangalani, the lakeside settlement, will provide overnight lodging. You will be staying at Malabo Resort for the next two days.
You will see the El Molo, Kenya’s smallest tribe, over your two nights in Loiyangalani. You will have a unique opportunity to see their community and unusual fishing boats. Other activities for the day include a visit to the desert museum, a boat ride on the lake, and a look at some prehistoric rock art.
