Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast in the convenience of your hotel, meet the driver guide for a briefing regarding the schedule for your unique 4 Days Nyungwe Forest and Lake Kivu Tour. Take a 6-hour picturesque journey from the hotel towards the Southern Province, stopping along the way to see the Nyanza King’s palace and the Ethnographic Museum. After lunch at one of the greatest restaurants, you’ll head straight to the park to check into your lodge or tent.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe – Canopy Walk Experience.
After a briefing at the Cyamudongo region, your designated park guide will accompany you on a 2 to 4 hour search for a habituated population of chimpanzees, beginning your incredible primate experience. This trip aims to provide you the opportunity to shoot images of the 500 chimps in Nyungwe’s natural habitat and delve deeply into their everyday behaviours. Other primates, such as olive baboons, l’hoest monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, etc., are encountered during the chimp hunt. Trek back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation after your experience. The afternoon canopy walk, which begins at Igishigishigi path and lasts for almost two hours, will take you back into the jungles.

Day 3: Colobus Monkey Tracking – Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, take off on your morning colobus walk with a guide, which will begin after a briefing. In addition to colobus monkeys, visitors will see red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and birds. When you return, you’ll eat lunch, relax, and then connect to Lake Kivu. The Lake Kivu excursion will feature a sunset boat ride, followed by relaxing at a local hotel.
