This 4 Days Gorillas and Golden Monkeys Rwanda Tour will take you from Kigali International Airport to Volcanoes National Park to observe primates. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, as well as the Genocide Memorial Centre.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Ruhengeri.
A tour guide from Judith Safaris will meet you at Kigali International Airport. You will receive a quick introduction and hear about your safari. You will then be driven to the hotel for an overnight stay. The travel should take approximately 2 hours. You can also arrange to spend the night in Kigali depending on the time of your arrival at the airport.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Proceed to the first gorilla trekking destination, Volcanoes National Park. Before you can start the trip, you must arrive at RDB’s office at 7 a.m. for a briefing. Trekking with these gorillas is sure to provide some incredible memories. You will spend the night at the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking Experience.
After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, head to the park headquarters. The Volcanoes National Park guides will go over the Golden Monkeys hiking procedures and provide a briefing. After the Golden Monkey walk, relax with lunch at the hotel and take in the scenery.

Day 4: Return to Kigali – Departure.
You’ll see the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo before being taken to Kigali. Near the Ugandan border, these stunning lakes are situated at the foot of the Muhabura volcano. Large waterfalls and steep hills encircle them, while the Virunga volcanic mountains serve as the backdrop. Once considered overlooked gems, these twin lakes are now popular tourist destinations. An amazing backdrop is created by their deep blue waters, which are surrounded by high hills and large waterfalls, as well as the outlines of the neighbouring Virunga Volcanoes. Depending on when you travel and whether you were unable to attend the first day, you will have the opportunity to visit the Genocide Memorial Centre in Gizozi as part of your city tour of Kigali.
