Day 1: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the airport, our driver guide will greet you and take you on a city tour that includes visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and the women’s handicrafts market, among other things. After lunch, visit Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda’s northwest. The park is about a two-hour drive from Kigali via a well-paved road.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience.
Enjoy breakfast starting at 6:30 am, and then head to the national park headquarters for a briefing prior to beginning your journey. Under the direction of an armed guide, you will begin your walk into the jungle at 8:00 am, following designated pathways in an effort to spot gorillas. Meeting the gorillas typically takes two to six hours. It is allowed for visitors to spend an hour with mountain gorillas. Watching gorillas, who share 98% of human DNA, go about their daily lives is referred to as a “magical hour” filled with incredible experiences. It is recommended that tourists follow the gorilla trekking rules, which include being quiet and avoiding close contact with the primates. Although they are not allowed to use flash cameras, trekkers are allowed to capture pictures of the gorillas. Return to the lodge or hotel for lunch before making your way back to Kigali.
