This 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari in Rwanda allows you to visit Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. The Volcanoes National Park is located in northern Rwanda. Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Our Judith Safaris guide will arrive at your hotel or airport early in the morning to pick you up and begin your tour. Following the tour briefing from the business guide, you will go on a tour of Kigali, which will include a visit to the famed Kigali Genocide Memorial site, where you will discover how over 800,000 people died in 1994. You will explore the rest of Kigali, including local markets and the Kings Palace, before enjoying lunch. After lunch, you will begin the two-hour trek to Volcanoes National Park. The stunning hilly countryside along the trip will remind you why Rwanda is known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills”.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

Having rested well, you should be prepared for gorilla tracking in Rwanda. The head park guide conducts a gorilla trekking briefing at 7:00 a.m. at the Kinigi park headquarters in Musanze. All trekkers must arrive at the park by this time and attend the briefing. A gorilla safari in Rwanda has various families to choose from; choose one based on fitness. After being allocated a gorilla family and employing a porter. It’s time to venture into the forest to track gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda might be difficult, but the pleasure of seeing mountain gorillas makes the effort worthwhile.

Mountain gorillas are fun, but they are also intrigued about humans that get close to them. Listen to your guide’s directions, remain cool, and avoid making any unexpected movements. After an hour with the mountain gorillas, return to the starting location and meet the company guide. You’ll be driven back to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will be escorted to the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village in Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3: Return to Kigali – Departure.

On this day, get up and eat breakfast at your leisure while preparing for the travel back to Kigali. The driver will take you to your hotel in Kigali or to the airport for your trip home. If you missed the city tour on day one, you can catch it on this day before leaving.
