Our 2 Day Gorilla Trekking Uganda Tour takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for an unforgettable experience seeing wild mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in south-western Uganda, on the edge of the Great Albertine Rift. The Bwindi Forest is estimated to be a relic of a large forest that once encompassed the majority of Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bwindi is endowed with remarkable biodiversity. The park contains 160 tree species, 100 ferns, and several butterflies. For travellers who would rather take the quicker way to Bwindi from Kigali, Rwanda, rather than the nine-hour drive from Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, this 2-day Gorilla Trekking Uganda Tour departing from Kigali is ideal. The trip starts in Kigali, Rwanda, and travels to Bwindi via the Katuna border, the stunning Kigezi mountains in Uganda, and Ruhija, Bwindi.

This excursion will allow you to experience the lovely countryside and scenery of Rwanda and Uganda. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Departure.
You’ll get up fairly early to eat breakfast. Our guide will pick you up and drive you to the park offices, where you will be informed and given information on tracking gorillas in Bwindi. You will be assigned a gorilla group and given the option to hire a porter for $15 USD. Your lodge should provide you with a packed meal and drinking water. Gorilla trekking can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the location of your designated gorilla family on that given day. When you see the gorillas, take as many shots as possible and try to obey the advice of the wardens/guides. After the trek, return to your accommodation to freshen up, eat/drink something, and check out.
