Our 14 Days Uganda Wildlife and Source of the Nile Tour takes you to the highlights of Uganda, where the savanna meets the rainforest. Expect to witness savanna creatures including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, and leopards, as well as up to 13 primate species like gorillas and chimps. The journey focuses on Uganda’s most important and well-known national parks: Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo National Parks, and the Nile River source.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe International Airport.
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by a Judith Safaris tour guide who will brief you on the 14 day Uganda tour and transfer you to a hotel already booked for you in Kampala, where you will check in have dinner and stay overnight.
Accommodation: Kampala Serena Hotel, Kampala Sheraton Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Make your way to Murchison Falls National Park. A stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is part of our journey. Seeing the renowned white rhino is only possible here in Uganda. Murchison Falls is among Uganda’s most stunning national parks. With the breathtaking Murchison Falls, where the entire Nile is driven through a tiny valley and falls 60 meters, the Nile is one of the must-see sights. Look for lions, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, elephants, and, if you’re lucky, leopards.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.
This stunning national park offers an early morning game drive. boat trip up to the base of the falls on the Victoria Nile in the afternoon. The boat is the ideal way to walk to the top of the falls and see and take pictures of a wide variety of birds.

Day 4: Transfer to Fort Portal
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge in Murchison Falls National Park and get on the road to the famous Fort Portal. This is one of the cleanest cities in Uganda and you will get a chance to explore it. Later check in at the lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Accommodation: Chimpanzee Guest House, Westend Motel.

Day 5: Explore Fort Portal – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Fort Portal’s charming town. Relax after a long trip; you can undertake a few activities in the afternoon, such as tea tours, caves and waterfalls, or a Rwenzori mountain trek, before heading to Kibale Forest. Kibale Forest is a breathtaking jungle with 13 primate species! Including chimps, baboons, black and white colobuses, red colobuses, grey cheeked mangabeys, and L’Hoest monkeys.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
Go for chimp tracking in the morning or afternoon. We can also organise a community walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for anyone interested in monkeys and birds who want to go on another walk. It is also feasible to visit the locals and the crater lakes.
Accommodation: Primate Lodge, Kyaninga Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our route, we’ll pass the equator and stop. Game drive in the evening. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s top spots to watch lions. Expect to encounter elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and perhaps leopards.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel.
Game drive in the morning. Afternoon boat excursion on the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel is one of Uganda’s highlights, with the world’s greatest concentration of hippos.
Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge, Elephant Plains.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
You will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest passing through various communities and enjoy some stunning mountain vistas. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a one-of-a-kind jungle home to numerous monkey species. Bwindi is one of only two spots in the world where you may see mountain gorillas. Driving time is determined by the area of Bwindi where we choose to stay.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Early morning departure with your ranger in pursuit of one of the world’s most fascinating and endangered animals, the mountain gorilla. You will spend an hour with one of our close relatives. Evening transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and overnight stay on an island will be an unforgettable experience. After breakfast, there are other optional activities, including tribal visits, community walks, and kayaking.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park via Igongo Cultural Centre. Meet with the ethnic cultural groups in Western Uganda with lunch enroute.
Accommodation: Mihingo Lodge, Eagle’ Nest, Kigambira Safari Lodge.

Day 12: Transfer to Jinja.
After breakfast, you will get on the road and drive to Jinja which is widely referred to as Uganda’s adventure capital. Travel through Mabira Forest and marvel at roadside markets, sugar and tea plantations enroute.

Day 13: White Water Rafting on River Nile.
Visit the world’s second longest river. Experience a full-day whitewater rafting trip on the Nile. Visit the source of the Nile.

Day 14: Return to Entebbe – Departure.
You will wake up at leisure, have breakfast and check out of the lodge to be transferred back to Kampala City, from where you will proceed to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your homebound flight.
