Our 11 Days Best of Uganda Wildlife Safari Tour primarily takes you to the country’s five main national parks, including Murchison Falls National Park, where you can see rhinos en route. Once there, you can see the most powerful falls in the world, where the wide River Nile water squeezes into an 8-meter-wide gorge. The park is home to 451 bird species and 76 mammal species.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe Airport.
Our representative will greet and greet you when you arrive at Entebbe Airport. For the remainder of your time in the nation, he will serve as both your driver and tour guide. Following the meeting and explanation of the 11 Days Best of Uganda Wildlife Safari Tour, you will be driven to the hotel of your choice in Entebbe for the night.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Your driving guide will pick you up for a trip to Murchison Falls National Park following breakfast at the hotel. Along the way, you will pass through the well-known Luwero Triangle and make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Enjoy a stroll for one to two hours after you arrive at the sanctuary to follow the rhinos. The only location where one can witness these in the wild is here. After lunch, continue travelling through Masindi town to Murchison Falls National Park. For a clear and breathtaking view of the water pushing its way down a 7-meter gorge and plummeting to over 43 meters below with a deafening roar, creating a stunning rainbow, you will have another halt at the top of the falls. Arrive at your lodge late at night for dinner and a restful sleep.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Falls.
Get up early and leave for the game drive before the sun comes up. As the largest park in Uganda, Murchison Falls offers a wide range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, a great number of giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, waterbucks, bushbucks, and other bird species. After the game drive, which should last three to four hours, head back to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. After lunch, go for the Victoria Nile’s afternoon launch trip to the base of the falls.
This three-hour boat ride will allow you to see a variety of aquatic creatures, including crocodiles, buffalos, kingfishers, hornbills, goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelicans, and bee-eaters, as well as several bird species. Go back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after the cruise.

Day 4: Transfer for Kibale Forest National Park.
Eat breakfast at the lodge in the morning before leaving for Kibale National Park. You will travel across the Albertine Escarpment in the Western Rift Valley, as well as the lush countryside and traditional homesteads of the Bunyoro and Toro Kingdoms. Clear days will allow you to see the fabled snowcapped mountain, often referred to as the “Mountains of the Moon” (Mt Rwenzori), as you arrive in Fort Portal. The ordinary man’s closest cousins, chimpanzees, are among the thirteen primate species found in Kibale Forest National Park. More than 325 bird species, including the endangered Green Breasted Pitta, can be found in the forest. Arrive in the evening at your lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale – Bigodi Wetland Walk.
After breakfast at your lodge, continue your 11-day Uganda safari adventure by going on a half-day chimpanzee tracking excursion. After a 30- to 40-minute briefing at the Kanyanchu park headquarters, you will learn more about the chimpanzees and their forest lifestyle. Following this, you will set out on your quest to find these primates in the wild. You have an hour to spend with the chimps while filming and photographing them after you spot them. Other primate species, including LHoest’s Monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys, Blue Vervet Monkeys, and Black & White Colobus Monkeys, can be seen throughout the route.
Buffalos, forest elephants, and numerous bird species are among the other animals that are seen. Following the tracking, have lunch at your lodge before heading out for a nature and birdwatching tour in the Bigodi Swamp. Local communities are in charge of the marsh, which is well-known for the wide variety of birds and other primates that call it home. Through tour guiding, it also gives local youth employment and career prospects. In the evening, head back to your lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, head to the Kasenda craters. Take a short walk to the ‘Top of the World’ viewpoint, where you can see many of the little crater lakes in this region. Proceed to the magnificent Lake Nyinambuga, which is portrayed on the 20.000 Uganda shilling note. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the country’s top wildlife parks, with over 600 bird species and mammals such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and many more. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Ride along the Kazinga Channel.
After an early breakfast, leave for your morning wildlife drive in the Kasenyi regions. Look for wildlife such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, waterbucks, and bushbucks. After lunch, we will embark on a launch cruise down the Kazinga channel. The channel links Lakes Edward and George. The waterway is home to some of Africa’s largest hippo herds and bird species. This three-hour boat excursion will provide you with views of water-loving animals such as hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and other antelopes, as well as bird species. Return to the Lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Visit Ishasha Sector – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
After breakfast, leave the northern half of the park and travel to the southern sector of Ishasha. Mid-morning game drives are conducted in quest of the rare tree climbing lions. Afternoon, travel to the famed Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The park is well-known for providing a habitat for endangered Mountain Gorillas. Check in to your lodge.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
The opportunity to interact directly with the enormous mountain gorillas will be an experience of a lifetime. Depending on where you reserved your lodging, you will begin the day with an early breakfast at your lodge before making your way to the Park headquarters for a briefing. Within the Bwindi Forest, gorilla trekking is conducted in four sections. Rushaga and Nkuringo sectors make up the park’s southern side, while Buhoma and Ruhija sectors make up its northern side. Following the briefing, you will begin your trek for the day. Depending on where the gorillas were last seen the day before, the search may take anywhere from two to five hours.
After they have been spotted, you will have an hour to record films and take pictures. You will also get the opportunity to ask the guides and rangers any questions you may have about these enormous apes. Along the route to the gorillas, one can observe a variety of fauna and bird species in addition to the great apes, including butterflies, primates, mammals, frogs, and more. You will return to your lodge and recover for the remainder of the day after visiting the gorillas. Five to nine hours may be needed for the entire day’s activities.
It is strongly advised to hire porters and pack a lunch. If you have the time, you will also visit the Ride 4 a Woman project in Buhoma, where you will get the opportunity to talk to local women and discover their many handicrafts, such as knitting and basket weaving, created using local resources. Have dinner and spend the night at your lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
You will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest national park, following your early breakfast. You will travel through breathtaking landscapes and views of the Ankole Kingdom, which includes various crop plantations and animal farms. Get to your Lake Mburo lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for the Lake Mburo boat excursion. Keep an eye out for buffalos, hippos, and other animals. The park is well-known for having the most zebras in all of Uganda. Giraffes, impalas, oribis, and numerous bird species are among the other animals that are seen. Spend the night at your lodge.

Day 11: Return to Entebbe – Departure.
After breakfast in the morning, head out of the park for a game drive. Keep an eye out for creatures that call the park home, including as zebras, impalas, oribi, topi, elands, and others. One of the rare parks where you can go on a guided nature walk and still see the majority of the animals as if you were on a game drive is Lake Mburo. The park is well-known among birdwatchers and is home to over 300 different species of birds. Later, have a lunch break on the way back to Entebbe. Visit the Equator for a photo opportunity and a water experience. Proceed to the airport and be dropped off in time to wrap up your 11 Days Best of Uganda Wildlife Safari Tour and catch your flight home or to your next destination in the evening.
